Clearing Kuwaiti customs
Parcelcompare produces all the documentation you need to clear Customs in Kuwait, all you have to do is be accurate with the information you provide when you book.
Only documents are exempt from duties and taxes when entering Kuwait, all other shipments will have these charges applied to them, calculated based on the estimated value of your goods. The receiver of your parcel must pay these fees in order to have your shipment cleared, Parcelcompare does not handle this money at any point.

Collection & delivery
Courier collection
Book early enough and we will collect on the same day from throughout the UK. If you have a bit more time and flexibility, consider using a UPS Access Point. This saves you both time and money, allowing you to drop off your package at a nearby shop, or other business, for a cheaper rate than collection from your door.
If you’re sending something heavier than 50kg, or longer than 180cm, you need to book a day in advance, in order for us to ensure we have space on our van. Should you need a pallet truck to load the item then let us know when you book.
Kuwait delivery
We work when you work, so your delivery will arrive between 9am and 7pm on working weekdays. If you are sending to someone who doesn’t have all day to wait for their parcel you can book one of our timed delivery slots, which guarantees that your package will arrive before a specific time.
As with collection, if you need special equipment to help unload your parcel then let us know when you book. For bulky or oversized items, you will need to provide assistance to our driver in loading and unloading.
Tracking your parcel to Kuwait
We ship thousands of parcels every day, and to ensure we know where each one is we scan their barcodes whenever they arrive or leave anywhere. Some couriers will only tell you once your package has reached its destination, Parcelcompare lets you see every scan as it happens, so you always know where your shipment is, and where it’s going next.
Of those thousands of parcels, it’s inevitable that a small percentage should encounter delays. Should this be your package, we’ll email you and your receiver immediately to let you know, so nobody is left in the dark.
Sending gifts to Kuwait
What do you buy the Sheikh who has it all? Picking a gift is the only tricky part of sending presents to Kuwait with Parcelcompare. Kuwaiti Customs have no gift allowance, so your shipment will be charged the same duties and taxes as any other entering the country.
When filling in your paperwork, don’t just declare your goods as gifts, this is a sure-fire way to get your parcel opened and inspected. Instead, be sure to list the nature and value of the package’s contents.
Large and heavy shipping to Kuwait
Although a solid gold limousine may be a bit much for us, we can still deliver shipments weighing up to a tonne (the UK definition of 1,000kg), or up to 270cm in length on their longest side. With bulky items, we need to make sure we have room on our van to take them, so be sure to book your delivery 24 hours in advance.
We can ship door-to-door and port to port, and offer both express an economy airfreight shipping options. So, whether you need to send a large item of furniture to Sharq, or shipping a bike to Salhiya, or you need to send a large pallet of commercial products to Kaifan, our specialist Kuwait air-freight services can meet your every need.

Packaging your parcel
You know what you want to send, you know where you’re sending it, you’re saving on delivery with Parcelcompare, but have you thought about how you’re going to package it to protect your goods on their journey?
Before you slap your stuff into a shoe box and stick a label on it, follow our three-step guide to proper packaging.
1. BUY A BOX
Tempting as it is to see if your local supermarket are chucking out any used boxes, these will have already been subjected to pressure and knocks, weakening them for future use. A new box will see you proud.
2. PACK IT
The more packaging material, the better. Using a cushioning product, such as bubble wrap, encase all of your items individually. Then line your box and place your items in so that they’re held in place and at least 6cm from the box edges.
3. CLOSE IT
Your final line of defense is parcel tape. Stick around your box three times in a Union Flag pattern, covering all seals and corners. You should now be confident that if you dropped your package from waist-height nothing would break.
Kuwait public holidays
Extravagance is the name of the game in Kuwait, and there’s never a better time to enjoy a life of luxury than on a day off.
If the country has downed tools for a day in the sun then you can be sure that our couriers will be doing the same, that’s why parcels are not collected or delivered on days off.
To help you plan your deliveries we have compiled a helpful list of public holidays in Kuwait below.
