Please note, pallets exceeding 1.2 metres in length or 1 metre in width will be charged as double pallets.
Collection & delivery
Pallet collection
Pallet collections need to be booked 24 hours in advance, however for some EU destinations trailers do not run daily, so collections will not always be made within 24 hours.
You will need to provide a loading facility at the point of collection, we can provide a pump truck on request, all vehicles do however have tail lifts.
We are unable to provide specific collection times, however if you contact us on the day of collection we will be able to provide you with an ETA.
Pallet delivery
We only make deliveries on working weekdays between 9 and 5. We also offer timed delivery with pre-9 and pre-noon delivery options.
We only make one delivery attempt as standard, if we have to attempt redelivery an additional charge will apply.
All deliveries are made with tail lift vehicles, if you require the delivering vehicle to also have a pallet truck, please contact us.
All our pallet services offer signed for delivery as standard.
Getting your pallet ready for shipping
As your pallet will be loaded on and off of vehicles multiple times, it’s important that you package the goods properly prior to collection. Additionally, unless you’re sending a non-stackable pallet, pallets will be placed on top of your pallet so it needs to be strong and robust.
Common mistakes:
Insufficient shrink-wrap.
Goods overhanging the pallet
Insufficient strapping to secure the contents to the pallet
Using un-fumigated wood which is prohibited in many countries
Not evenly distributing the weight to ensure the pallet is balanced

Safely stacking a pallet

Use a 4-way pallet, that doesn’t show any signs of damage.

Ensure the boxes are stacked straight and make sure they do not overhang.

Use sufficient strapping and hard corner supports for additional strength.

Generously shrink-wrap the contents and base.
The more protection you can give to your pallet the better. Extra corner supports, extra shrink-wrap, even bubble wrap, anything that can give extra strength and protection to the product is beneficial. Also make sure the boxes are evenly distributed and the pallet is stable to avoid the risk of the pallet falling over.
Track your pallet
All of our haulage services offer tracking and signed for delivery, however not all hauliers provide real-time scans, therefore some proof of delivery information may be delayed for up to 24 hours after delivery is taken place.
If you do need real-time tracking on your pallet, contact us in advance and we will provide a suitable solution, however this may affect the cost of delivery.
