Customs in Hong Kong
Hong Kong is one of the most popular shipping destinations in the world, because it is an open port. This status means that there are no duties or taxes on most of the goods that are brought into the country. This doesn't, however, mean that your package to Hong Kong won't pass through customs.
Some products are prohibited from shipping to Hong Kong so check out our restricted item list below. You will need to be sure to properly declare the contents of your parcels, as this will be required to clear customs. Make sure to declare the full name of your goods and don't forget to include their value.

Sending food to Hong Kong

What you cannot send:

Packaging your parcel to Hong Kong
When you send a parcel to Hong Kong it is going to go on a long journey with hundreds of other parcels over land and sea. All this adds up to the usual bumps and knocks which come with international delivery, and you want to ensure that your package is up to withstanding them.
Follow our simple packaging guidelines below and you can be confident that your shipment will arrive in one piece.
1. BEGIN WITH A BOX
Used boxes can appear sturdy, but really be hiding unseen damage and weaknesses, so try to use a new box whenever you can. An old box may burst or be crushed in transit, so a new, double-lined box is best for items over 10kg in weight.
2. FILL IT UP
Wrap items individually before putting them in the box. Surround everything in packaging material, such as bubble wrap, such that there is at least 6cm between items and the box walls. Nothing should move if you shake the full box.
3. SEAL IT SHUT
Use strong parcel tape in a Union Jack pattern wrapped three times around your box. All corners and seals should be covered. Attach your shipping label so that it is clearly visible. Our courier may be able to provide a documents wallet if needed.
