Send parcels to Hong Kong

Hong Kong’s status as a free port doesn’t mean that you can send just anything through customs. There are still items that are not allowed into the country, just like there are goods that couriers will not carry. You can see Parcelcompare’s list of restricted goods for information on what you cannot send by courier and, though there are few prohibited items in Hong Kong, there are some goods that require a permit to import:

• Material that is radioactive

• Radio equipment and mobile phones

• Hazardous chemicals or other controlled substances

• Animals or goods made from animals

• Diamonds, unworked

• Sand, except if importing from China

• Pesticides

• Firearms, ammunition and explosives

• Drugs, medicines and pharmaceuticals
